My published writings are many and various. My first book was a short collection of poetry published by Howard Sergeant at Outposts way back in the late 1970s. Then followed a couple of non-fiction works (SPCK and Darton Longman & Todd) and the anthology New Christian Poetry<\/a> that I edited for Collins \u2013 and that was for a time their best-selling title.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since then my books have been mainly poetry collections, but my first novel, Rapeseed<\/em><\/a>, was published by Stairwell Books<\/a> early in 2017, and my second novel, The Elder Race<\/a><\/em> was published in 2020. My last poetry collection,T<\/em>ravelling Light,<\/em><\/a> was published in October 2025 and my next collection, From Darkness to Light<\/em><\/a>, will be published on 26 February 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have written a number of reflections, called From Paint to Poetry,<\/em><\/a> about paintings in an exhibition from the Methodist Modern Art Exhibition<\/a> which will be at St Mary’s Church, Guildford,<\/a> during Lent 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

I also write for various magazines and journals, and blog occasionally here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
