I try to pray <\/span><\/span>Your will
\n<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>be done<\/i><\/span><\/span>, but can\u2019t help
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>hoping that at least on
\n<\/span><\/span>this occasion, your will
\n<\/span><\/span>might coincide with mine.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But if that cannot be,
\n<\/span><\/span>I pray for courage and
\n<\/span><\/span>for joy in my acceptance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Was I a fool to allow myself
\n<\/span><\/span>to reach this point of tragedy
\n<\/span><\/span>and pain? Was it unwise
\n<\/span><\/span>to entrust my life to weak
\n<\/span><\/span>and wayward men?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I fall down on the stony earth
\n<\/span><\/span>and pray with passion to
\n<\/span><\/span>the ground of my whole being.
\n<\/span><\/span>Here I unite the human and divine,
\n<\/span><\/span>my short life with the work
\n<\/span><\/span>I have to do for all eternity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If it is not possible for this prayer
\n<\/span><\/span>to be granted or even to be
\n<\/span><\/span>described as wise, I\u2019ll rise
\n<\/span><\/span>to meet whatever comes,
\n<\/span><\/span>to risk all, dare all, gladly
\n<\/span><\/span>choosing to be a fool for God.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
