\ninnocent games: skimming
\nstones, hopscotch, skipping.<\/p>\n
\nyou hear rain fall on the grass
\nas it springs from the rust-coloured earth,<\/p>\n
\nfilling the bright shirts as if
\nwith their wayward husbands\u2019 bodies.<\/p>\n
\nis drawn from deep down.\u00a0 Limpid,
\nit catches the sunlight, brims over,<\/p>\n
\nsqueaks of delight, poured
\nlike balm on the pain of the world.<\/p>\n
\nof a butterfly\u2019s wings is enough
\nto cause a far-off disaster,<\/p>\n
\non the other side of the planet
