If they had found your body in that place
of death, they might have lingered there.
Instead, they discovered an absence that
shattered expectations and challenged them
to raise their eyes to the light of new reality.
When, as is sometimes bound to happen,
we enter our dark places and fail to find
you there, help us to trust it is because
you have gone on ahead and are now
beckoning us to follow into greater light.
